ABERDEEN RECEIVES $402,000 GRANT FROM STATE FOR REDEVELOPMENT SITE
ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP (2/10/09)—Aberdeen Township today announced that it has received  $402,259 from the Municipal Grant Program of the Hazardous Discharge Site Remediation Fund (HDSRF), a program administered by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA)

ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP OFFERS FREE COMPOSTING MATERIALS The Aberdeen Township Department of Public Works is offering unlimited amounts of composting material to residents of Aberdeen and neighboring municipalities free-of charge.

ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT OFFERS TIPS TO AVOID BECOMING A VICTIM OF CURRENT SCAMS - The Aberdeen Township Police Department is advising area residents to be aware of certain types of scams currently being perpetrated in the Monmouth County area, and offers tips on how to avoid becoming a victim.

SPECIAL NEEDS REGISTRY The registry is voluntary and free.  It is designed to assist first responders and emergency planners in identifying those residents that may need assistance in evacuating during an emergency when a family member or care giver is unable to help them.

Help is Available for Homeowners Facing Foreclosure Individuals may seek help from New Jersey State Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Consumer Affairs and the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance.

ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP ADDS COMMUTER PARKING SPACES AT STRATHMORE SHOPPING CENTER In an effort to make parking easier those who commute to New York City and Jersey City via New Jersey Transit busses, Aberdeen Township has signed a lease agreement with AMF Bowling Center for an additional 65 parking spaces at the Strathmore Shopping Center on Route 34 in Aberdeen.

ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP ADDS WEEKLY SATURDAY RECYCLING TIMES AT PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE
ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP (12/2/08) – In an effort to make recycling easier and more convenient, Aberdeen Township has announced that, beginning Saturday, December 6, the Public Works Garage will be open every Saturday for residents to drop off recyclables.  Previously, drop-offs were limited to weekdays and the third Saturday of the month.
